My worst nightmare

I had a dream about my wedding. First of all, I didn't realize it was the day off. My dress was red with a white, long jacket that went over it. I was already freaking out about the dress since it wasn't the one I picked. My dad kept reassuring me that I could wear my other dress during the reception. Another problem was my veil. Every time I would put it on it felt like a huge weight on my head. At the last minute I had to cut it in half. Also, none of my bridesmaids were nowhere in sight and I didn't have any flowers to hold. The ceremony began and I was already feeling like this was a disaster. When it was my turn to walk I didn't even walk down the middle aisle. My dad led me down the side aisle! We then sat to the side and all of a sudden Ray comes down the middle aisle in total Hawaiian style. There were all these dancers in hula skirts and such. I watched my dad's face changed to absolute horror because one of his main things was to be informed of any non-vietnamese traditions. I was so angry at Ray for pulling this little stunt without discussing any of us. Once he reached the altar I went and joined him.

Silence of the Clams

Saturday was spent in Santa Cruz with some of my favorite people as well as a new addition. It was Clam Chowder Cook-off time!! For $7 we received a reasonably-sized cup, napkin, spoon, "People's Choice" voting ticket, and 5 tasting tickets. There were so many to choose from so we had to narrow it down to certain criterias.

1. How it smelled as we passed by.

2. Any special ingredients (bacon, corn, etc)

3. The thickness of the soup.

I have to say that 4 out of 5 of my tasting choices were pretty good. Ray went to different booths so I got to taste more than 5! Afterwards we went to Capitola to this bakery called Gayle's. I had an amaretto latte and a chocolate caramel parfait. Yum! A couple friends stayed at our house and had dinner. It was a good day.

Dogs in snow

We joined the Miguel sisters and friends for a weekend in Tahoe. Although the cabin was a bit pricey (still used to the price I got from the Berkeley trip) but the house was amazing. It was so beautiful. Saturday was spent at the house on a "24" marathon while the others went boarding and skiing. I'm kinda glad I didn't join the snowbunnies because it was very drizzly. Jolie came by at dinner to hang out. By nightfall it was snowing. Sunday morning was like a winter wonderland. Everything was blanketed in white. Herc loved running around in the snow. It was very cute. We parted ways at noon. It was a good weekend.
