What's the standard tipping percentage for average/normal service? Just like there's a difference in prices for each meal, is there a tipping difference for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?

I'm just a typical Elementary Teacher who likes to teach writing, sing songs, play with paint, shoot pool, and plan parties! I'm what many lovingly call a "drill sergeant." I enjoy controlling my minions, I mean friends. I kick ass in planning events although I still have a ways to go to becoming a pro. I love my family, I love my friends, and I absolutely LOVE my Handsome.

my two cents: it doesn't matter to me what meal or how expensive the meal is. i work on percentage. so bad service receives 0-10%. average service is 10-16% good service 16-20%. good large party service 20-24%. amazing service, which almost never happens, 25%
why? what's your stance?
I agree with you. I also want to add that the overall tip should be based on the overall service. It's possible that most of the people got good service but one or two may have been shafted in some way and so I don't think the tip should be very high.
