Cake excitement

One of the highlights of wedding planning is the cake tasting! After 4 tastings at 4 bakeries we finally decided on A Piece of Cake Bakery in Santa Clara. When we went to the initial tasting with them we were totally blown away by their samples. Almost all the cakes weren't heavy and had just the right amount of everything. The only one we really didn't like was the one with choc. cake, and fudge/choc. filling. Way too much choc. for a wedding! We would have to serve everyone milk! After we discussed what we wanted and how we want the cake to look like they quoted us and we were shocked. It was really reasonably priced! For the quality and what we're asking we were very pleased. We decided to come back and try a filling we wanted but wasn't on the tasting. We paid a tasting cake fee and got a white cake with choco. mousse filling and a kahlua cake soak. It was very good. And what's even better is that we get to take the rest of the cake home! Yum!
